Job Position: Financial Controller

Job Locations: Lagos (Hybrid)

Introduction

• We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Controller to join Brass, a dynamic fintech company revolutionizing how businesses manage their financial operations.
• In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of accounting, treasury management, tax compliance, and internal controls.
• You will play a critical role in ensuring the financial integrity of the company by managing financial transactions, optimizing cash flow, and providing insightful financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.
• The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fintech or banking, with deep expertise in accounting, and a passion for contributing to the development of innovative financial products and tools.

Key Responsibilities

• Accounting: Oversee all aspects of accounting including bookkeeping, financial statements, and reconciliations. Ensure timely and accurate recording of transactions.
• Treasury: Manage cash flow, banking relationships, and liquidity to support business operations and growth. Tax Remittance and Penalties: Ensure compliance with tax regulations, manage tax filings, and handle any associated penalties or issues.
• Internal Control: Develop, implement, and monitor internal control procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure financial integrity. Financial Planning and
• Analysis: Conduct financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting to support strategic decision-making and financial planning.

Requirements
Qualities We’re Looking For:

• Fintech/Banking Experience: 3-5 years of demonstrated experience in the fintech and/or banking industry, with an understanding of how financial tools and technology can drive business success.
• Strong Accounting Skills: Deep knowledge of accounting principles and practices, with a track record of managing complex financial operations.
• Detail-Oriented: A passion for getting into the weeds and ensuring every detail is addressed, with a focus on continuous improvement.
• Product Minded: Experience or interest in contributing to the development of financial products and tools. Ability to collaborate with product teams to design and enhance financial solutions.
