Description
- We are looking for a talented Warehouse Coordinator to join our team specializing in Logistics for our Logistics Warehousing and Purchasing Department in Lagos, Nigeria.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
- Efficient Coordination: By managing operations across various areas like Inbound, Outbound, and Kitting, you'll ensure smooth and efficient workflows.
- Safety Advocate: You'll actively promote a safe working environment by reporting hazards, complying with HSE standards, and leading HSE training sessions.
- Quality Assurance: Performing quality checks and identifying non-conforming materials will help maintain high standards and minimize costs.
- Environmental Stewardship: Recognizing and minimizing the environmental impact of your work will contribute to sustainable operations.
- Accurate Delivery: By receiving, sorting, labelling, and storing goods accurately, you'll optimize warehouse space and meet customer expectations.
- Operational Excellence: Operating equipment efficiently and working at the required cycle time will demonstrate your competency in core work skills.
- Team Collaboration: Effective communication with your team and support staff will foster a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Continuous Improvement: Seeking ways to improve processes, safety, and employee development will drive ongoing enhancements in the workplace.
Educational Qualification and Experience
- Candidates should possess a B.Sc / HND with three years working experience.
- This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
- Technical Proficiency: Be skilled in using Microsoft Office and an ERP system, and having the ability to operate PIV (Powered Industrial Vehicles) is a plus.
- Transportation Mode Selection: Evaluate and select the appropriate transportation mode and equipment type by analysing shipment volumes to balance cost, quality, and time.
- Trade Knowledge: Apply knowledge of trade regulations to minimize risks and costs in compliance with Cummins processes and systems.
- Warehouse Management: Utilize inventory control methodologies and warehousing tools to manage physical inventory and meet defined metrics for inbound and outbound operations.
Note: The compensation for this role is aligned with a local bargained or unionized agreement
