Global Peace Development (GPD), an NGO founded in April 2002 as Global Peace International and focuses on promoting peace for development in Nigeria.

We are recruiting to fill the following positions below:

1.) Logistics Officer

Job Location: Kaduna
Employment Type: Full-time

Summary


  • The position holder will be responsible for providing efficient and reliable logistics and driving support to GPD Kaduna team. 
  • This includes ensuring adherence to standard driving regulations, vehicle safety procedures, and the Nigerian Highway Code at all times.
  • The Officer will support project teams with transportation needs and assist in both short-term and long-term logistics functions, thereby contributing to the effective delivery of program goals and the broader objectives of the organization.

Required Academic Qualification and Experience

  • Not less than 4 years of experience in professional driving.
  • Certified professional driving training (preferred)
  • Fluent in English, Hausa and other local languages
  • Proven experience of working with international organization / Local NGOs.

Essential Competencies / Skills:

  • Valid driving license
  • Demonstrate defensive driving skills (in town and on direct road)
  • Good communication skills
  • Basic routine maintenance and vehicle handling skills.

2.) Communication Coordinator

Job Location: Garki, Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • Global Peace Development (GPD) seeks a dynamic and experienced Communications Coordinator to lead and manage all organizational communications and media-related functions.
  • The ideal candidate will develop and implement communication strategies that will enhance GPD’s visibility, amplify its voice, showcase its impact, and strengthen engagement with partners, donors, stakeholders, and the public. This role requires someone with strong writing and content creation skills, media relations experience, and a passion for social impact storytelling. 
  • The position is based in Abuja but may require occasional travel to GPD project locations.
  • The role requires candidate with excellent content creation, design, media relations, and branding skills.
  • The Communications Coordinator will also be responsible for designing GPD-branded materials, including banners, notepads, flyers, and content. Proficiency in CorelDRAW is mandatory for this role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all media related activities.
  • Support update of GPD’s website and social media platforms with engaging content (stories, photos, videos, infographics, etc.).
  • Collaborate with program teams to document and disseminate project success stories, human-interest pieces, reports, and newsletters.
  • Produce and edit internal and external communication document, including annual reports, and policy briefs.
  • Monitor media coverage and engagement to assess the impact of communication strategies.
  • Support proposal development and donor reporting with relevant communication inputs.
  • Design high-quality visual materials such as banners, flyers, notepads, branded documents, and other print and digital content.
  • Use CorelDRAW and other design tools to meet GPD’s branding and communication needs.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication, Journalism, Public Relations, Media Studies, or a related field (Master’s degree is an added advantage).
  • Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in communications, media relations, or public affairs, preferably in the NGO or development sector.
  • Proven experience managing digital communication platforms and creating multimedia content.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in using digital tools and design software (Canva, Adobe Suite, WordPress, etc.).
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work across teams and diverse stakeholders.

3.) Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL) Manager

Job Location: Garki, Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • We are seeking an experienced, results driven and detail-oriented MEAL Manager to lead the organization’s monitoring, evaluation, accountability, and learning efforts across GPD states.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing effective MEAL systems across projects, ensuring compliance with donor requirements, improving program quality, and driving data-based decision making.
  • This position requires strong analytical skills, team building, and the ability to represent the organization in donor and partner meetings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and oversee implementation of organization wide MEAL frameworks and project specific plans.
  • Ensure timely collection, analysis, and reporting of quality data for program improvement and donor reporting.
  • Build capacity of program staff on MEAL tools, methods, and standards.
  • Ensure accountability mechanisms are in place and functional, including feedback and complaint handling systems.
  • Contribute to proposal development and provide MEAL inputs, including logframes and indicators.
  • Represent GPD in MEAL-related meetings with partners, donors, and stakeholders.
  • Maintain an updated database of project indicators and performance results.

Requirements
Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Development Studies, Statistics, Social Sciences, or related field (Master’s degree is an added advantage).
  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in MEAL, preferably in the NGO sector.
  • Strong understanding of donor reporting requirements
  • Demonstrated experience in designing and managing M&E systems, tools, and methodologies.
  • Proficiency in data analysis software (SPSS, STATA, Power BI)
  • Excellent communication, writing, and facilitation skills.
  • Experience in managing field-level data collection and working with remote teams.
