Description


  • We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Inventory Officer to manage and oversee the company’s stock of ambience fittings, tiles, and paints. 
  • The ideal candidate will be responsible for tracking inventory levels, ensuring accurate stock records, coordinating stock movement, and optimizing inventory control processes to minimize losses and maximize efficiency.
  • The candidate will report to Senior Finance Officer.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate inventory records by tracking stock levels, movement, and usage.
  • Conduct regular stock audits and cycle counts to verify inventory accuracy.
  • Monitor stock levels and coordinate timely replenishment of materials to prevent shortages or overstocking.
  • Implement inventory control measures to reduce risks of stock losses, theft, and damages.
  • Maintain inventory database and generate reports on stock movement, discrepancies, and trends.
  • Collaborate with the procurement and sales teams to ensure seamless stock management.
  • Receive, inspect, and document incoming shipments to ensure quality and quantity compliance.
  • Organize warehouse/storage areas efficiently for easy access and retrieval of items.
  • Coordinate stock transfers between branches, showrooms, and warehouse locations.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and storage guidelines to maintain a secure inventory environment.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree or HND in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field.
  • 2 - 3 years of experience in inventory control, warehouse management, or stock management, preferably in the construction materials, retail, or manufacturing industry.
  • Experience using inventory tracking software and generating stock reports.

  • Excellent organizational and record-keeping skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills to coordinate with different departments.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, inventory software, and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks, Sage or similar tools).
