Job Position: HR / Legal Assistant
Job Location: Egbeda, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Job Description
- The HR / Legal Assistant will provide support in human resources administration and legal compliance.
- This role requires a detail-oriented professional who can manage employee records, assist with recruitment, ensure adherence to labor laws, and support the legal team in contract management and regulatory filings.
Key Responsibilities
Human Resources Support:
- Assist in recruitment processes including job postings, CV screening, and interview scheduling.
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR databases.
- Support onboarding and orientation of new staff.
- Handle employee queries regarding company policies and benefits.
- Assist in organizing training and development programs.
Legal & Compliance Support:
- Draft, review, and maintain contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.
- Ensure compliance with Nigerian labor laws and real estate regulations.
- Liaise with external legal counsel when required.
- Maintain records of regulatory filings, permits, and licenses.
- Support dispute resolution and disciplinary procedures.
Administrative Duties:
- Prepare reports for HR and legal departments.
- Organize and maintain filing systems (digital and physical).
- Schedule meetings and take minutes for HR/legal-related sessions.
- Provide general administrative support to management.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in Law. HR certification is an added advantage.
- Minimum of 2–4 years of experience in HR or legal support roles, preferably in real estate or corporate environments.
- Strong knowledge of Nigerian labor laws and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HR software tools.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Must have been called to the Nigerian Bar and licensed to practice law.
- Must be a registered member of an NBA branch.
- Candidate must reside within Egbeda and its environs.
