Job Summary

• Baselenders, a fast-growing loan company based in Ikoyi, Lagos, is looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Credit Risk Officer to join our team. 
• This mid-level role is ideal for professionals with a strong background in credit risk and compliance who are ready to make a real impact in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Review and assess loan applications to ensure compliance with internal credit policies.
• Identify and mitigate credit risks in loan structures, including high-risk exposures.
• Conduct due diligence checks (e.g., CRC checks) and fraud screening.
• Conduct internal compliance audits and risk assessments.
• Maintain accurate documentation and support the collections process as well as recovery efforts.
• Ensure full compliance with CBN, NDIC, and other financial regulatory requirements.
• Monitor loan portfolio performance and generate regular credit risk reports.
• Develop and update compliance policies (KYC) in line with regulatory standards.
• Prepare and present risk and compliance reports to management.
• Liaise with auditors and regulatory bodies as needed.

Salary
N250,000 - N300,000 per month.
