We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Position: Chief Operating Officer
Job Location: Victoria Island, Lagos
Reports to: Chief Executive officer
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

• We are seeking a business-oriented and result-driven chief operating officer (COO) to oversee the company’s ongoing operation and drive strategic initiatives that align with business goals.
• The COO will play a crucial role in scaling the organization, enhancing efficiency, and implementing operational excellence across the business development departments.
• The candidate must be currently working on the island within a financial institution.
• Candidates with experience in marketing, an MBA, or a master’s degree will have an added advantage given the sector’s fast-paced, regulatory, and technology-driven nature.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the CEO and executive team to develop and implement the company’s strategic goals and objectives.
• Drive business expansion strategies. Lead, mentor and motivate teams
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track operational effectiveness and recommend improvement.
• Translate business strategy into operational plans and performance goals.
• Oversee the execution of business strategies across all departments.
• Direct and manage day-to-day operations to ensure efficiency and productivity.
• Develop and implement operational policies, procedures, and systems.
• Ensure all departments (e.g., HR, Finance, Production, Sales, and Customer Service) work together effectively toward organizational goals.
• Collaborate with the CFO to prepare budgets, forecasts, and financial reports.
• Monitor financial performance and ensure cost-effective operations.
• Identify areas for financial improvement and implement cost-saving initiatives.
• Establish performance metrics and monitor organizational performance against set targets.
• Ensure departments achieve their KPIs and deliver high-quality outcomes.
• Lead efforts to continuously improve productivity, quality, and service delivery.
• Provide regular operational updates to the CEO and Board of Directors.
• Maintain transparent communication across all levels of the organization.
• Represent the company in external meetings and partnerships when required.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, finance, or related field
• 10+ years of Managerial position, strategic operations or senior leadership experience
• An MBA or master’s degree within this field will be preferred
• Proven track records of scaling organizations and leading cross-functional teams.
• Strong financial acumen and experience with budgeting, forecasting, marketing, and performance management.
• Excellent marketing, leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
• Experience within a fintech industry will be preferred.
• The candidate must have a good understanding of financial regulations, lending, blockchain, digital payment, or related sectors.

Salary
N500,000 - N800,000 Monthly.
