Job Summary


  • We are currently seeking a Business Development Manager to lead strategic business initiatives, ensure adherence to industry rules and regulations, and drive revenue growth in the Shagamu/Ogijo Cluster of Ogun State.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute business strategies to grow market share and revenue within the cluster.
  • Ensure compliance with electricity sector rules, regulations, and policies as stipulated by the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) and other governing bodies.
  • Identify, evaluate, and pursue new business opportunities and partnerships in the electricity distribution market.
  • Monitor regulatory changes, analyze their impact on operations, and implement required adjustments.
  • Build and manage relationships with stakeholders, including regulatory authorities, local communities, and business partners.
  • Oversee customer engagement initiatives aimed at improving satisfaction, retention, and service delivery.
  • Prepare business performance reports and present insights to senior management.
  • Lead and mentor the commercial and business development teams within the cluster.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Electrical Engineering, or any related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in business development or regulatory affairs within the power, utilities, or energy sector.
  • Sound understanding of electricity market operations, compliance frameworks, and NERC regulations.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strategic thinker with excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and business analytics tools.
