Job Position: Accountant

Job Location: Lekki, Lagos

Job Summary

• We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, reconciling accounts, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and examine financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with laws and regulations
• Maintain general ledger accounts and prepare journal entries
• Reconcile bank statements and monitor cash flow
• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
• Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Prepare tax returns and ensure timely tax filings
• Assist with internal and external audits
• Manage budgets and forecast financial performance
• Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards
• Support month-end and year-end close processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Proven experience as an Accountant (2–5 years preferred)
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, SAP, Excel)
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations (GAAP, IFRS, etc.)
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Effective communication skills
• CPA/CA/ICWA certification is a plus (depending on country and role level).
