We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Position: Accountant / Accounting Officer
Job Location: Lekki Phase 1, Lagos
Employment Type: Part-time

Job Summary

• We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant to oversee financial operations, ensure compliance with accounting standards, and support the company’s financial health.

Key Responsibilities
Financial Management & Reporting:

• Maintain and update accurate financial records.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making.
• Manage bank reconciliations and ensure accuracy in financial transactions.

Accounts Payable & Receivable:

• Process invoices, payments, and receipts efficiently.
• Track outstanding balances and follow up on payments.

Budgeting & Cost Control:

• Assist in preparing budgets and monitoring financial performance.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality standards.

Tax & Regulatory Compliance:

• Ensure compliance with tax laws, including VAT, PAYE, and corporate tax filings.
• Liaise with external auditors and tax authorities as required.

Payroll & Employee Benefits:

• Maintain accurate records for salary payments and tax compliance.

General Accounting Duties:

• Monitor financial policies and ensure adherence to best practices.
• Support financial audits and risk management initiatives.

Qualifications & Skills

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in accounting, preferably in the hospitality, retail, or FMCG sector.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage.
• Attention to Detail: Strong ability to maintain accurate financial records.
• Integrity & Confidentiality: Commitment to handling financial information responsibly.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Problem-Solving: Ability to resolve financial discrepancies and optimize processes.
