Job Position: Quality Control Superintendent

Position Summary
- We are seeking an experienced Quality Control Superintendent with a strong background in the plastic manufacturing industry to oversee all aspects of product quality control and assurance.
- This role ensures products meet internal and external specifications, industry regulations, and customer expectations.
- The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of plastic processing methods (injection molding, extrusion, blow molding, etc.), and a proven track record of managing QC teams, implementing quality systems, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and lead the quality control team in daily inspections, testing, and audits of raw materials, in-process, and finished plastic products.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, GMP, FDA, and other relevant industry quality standards.
- Develop, implement, and monitor quality control procedures and protocols specific to plastic production.
- Coordinate root cause analysis and implement corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) for non-conformities or customer complaints.
- Work closely with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues and optimize processes.
- Generate and analyze quality metrics, prepare reports, and present findings to senior management.
- Conduct training sessions for QC staff and production employees on quality procedures and standards.
- Oversee calibration and maintenance of quality inspection tools and lab equipment.
- Participate in customer audits and regulatory inspections, ensuring readiness and compliance.
- Continuously improve quality systems through Six Sigma, Lean, or other process improvement methodologies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Industrial Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in quality control within the plastic manufacturing industry.
- At least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial QC role.
- Strong understanding of plastic materials, molding processes, and related quality challenges.
- Proficiency in using quality tools such as SPC, FMEA, 8D, and root cause analysis.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 13485 (if medical plastics), or IATF 16949 (if automotive plastics) is preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Experience with ERP and quality management software systems (e.g., SAP, QMS platforms).
