Role Summary
- We are seeking a results-driven Mechanical/Industrial Maintenance Engineer with strong expertise in automobile systems, industrial processes, and fuel conversion technologies.
- The ideal candidate will provide management-level technical leadership, driving innovation, system redesign, and technology adoption.
- This role involves collaborating with management to enhance operational efficiency, support business growth, and ensure continuous improvement across mechanical and industrial operations.
Key Responsibilities
Technical & Engineering Leadership:
- Provide expert technical guidance on automobile and mechanical systems design, optimization, and integration.
- Exhibit strong knowledge of all systems related to vehicles, including internal combustion engines, fuel systems, and alternative energy technologies.
- Support management in evaluating and implementing new technologies for system redesign, process efficiency, and cost reduction.
- Develop strategies for the adoption and redesign of technologies, including assembly processes, system improvements, and sustainable mobility solutions.
Industrial Maintenance & Process Management:
- Oversee and improve mechanical and industrial maintenance processes to ensure equipment reliability and operational uptime.
- Design, implement, and manage preventive and predictive maintenance systems.
- Provide support services and technical direction for end users and field operations.
- Ensure all maintenance activities align with quality, safety, and compliance standards.
Research, Development & Innovation:
- Collaborate with management and R&D teams to drive innovation in fuel conversion, assembly systems, and industrial processes.
- Recommend and help implement technological advancements and best practices in mechanical and industrial systems.
- Monitor industry trends in automotive, energy efficiency, and industrial technology integration.
Training, Team Development & Strategy Support:
- Train, mentor, and upskill technical staff and operators.
- Participate in management meetings to contribute ideas for sales expansion, technical promotions, and operational strategy.
- Support strategic planning through engineering insights, technical feasibility assessments, and innovation-driven solutions.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to support organizational goals in production, quality, and business growth.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or Industrial Engineering.
- Minimum of 5–7 years of relevant experience in mechanical systems, industrial maintenance, or engineering management.
- Professional certification or membership (e.g., COREN, NSE, SAE) is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical design, industrial systems maintenance, and automotive engineering principles.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and maintenance management tools.
Skills & Competencies:
- Deep understanding of automotive systems, industrial processes, and maintenance management.
- Excellent analytical, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong project management and leadership abilities.
- Sound understanding of technology adoption, redesign, and assembly processes.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills with the ability to engage both technical and management teams.
- Ability to train others, brainstorm innovative ideas, and contribute to business expansion strategies.
- High attention to detail, accuracy, and adherence to quality and safety standards.
Remuneration
- Salary: N200,000 - N350,000 Monthly.
- Competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience.
