Job Position: Junior Mechanical Technician

About the Role

  • Burn is looking for a Junior Mechanical Technician who will be responsible for assisting in the maintenance, repair, and installation of mechanical systems and machinery.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Attend to preventive maintenance and breakdowns, identify fault and problem solve, with minimal downtime to production.
  • Assist in carrying out diagnosis of faults, the maintenance, and repairs to all types of plant and equipment in a safe, timely and professional manner.
  • Carry out maintenance repairs of mechanical machines.
  • Resolve mechanical problems.
  • Collaborate to reducing repair times in relation to machine downtime.
  • Monitor and maintain records on the utilities’ usage.
  • Keep maintenance logs.
  • Should be able to work on shift basis
  • Ensure a safe working environment exists for self and colleagues, EHS.
  • Any other job as may be assigned by management.

Requirements

  • Candidates should possess an OND in Mechanical Engineering
  • Minimum of 2 years in a manufacturing sector
  • Understanding of Mechanical and Hydraulic Presses.
