1.) Farm Supervisor

Job Description
- The Farm Supervisor plays a crucial role in the successful cultivation and harvesting of cassava at Agbeyewa Farms.
- This position requires a hands-on individual with strong leadership, organizational, and agricultural skills to oversee all aspects of field operations and ensure optimal yields.

Responsibilities
- Oversee all stages of cassava cultivation, including land preparation, planting, weeding, fertilizing, and harvesting.
- Monitor crop growth and development, identifying and addressing any issues such as pests, diseases, and nutrient deficiencies.
- Implement best practices for cassava cultivation, including appropriate spacing, pest and disease control measures, and soil management techniques.
- Lead and supervise a team of farm workers, assigning tasks, monitoring progress, and ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
- Train and mentor farm workers on proper farming techniques and best practices.
- Manage and utilize farm resources efficiently, including land, water, fertilizers, and equipment.
- Implement cost-saving measures and optimize resource utilization.
- Maintain accurate records of farm activities, including planting dates, harvesting yields, and input usage.
- Collect data on crop performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Ensure the quality of cassava tubers by implementing quality control measures throughout the production process.
- Adhere to all farm safety regulations and environmental standards.
- Ensure a safe and healthy working environment for all farm workers.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, or a related field preferred.
- 2 - 3 years of experience in cassava cultivation or a related field.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of cassava cultivation practices, including soil preparation, planting methods, and pest and disease control.
- Ability to operate and maintain farm equipment (tractors, tillers, etc.).
- Data collection and record-keeping skills.

2.) Farm Field Officer
Job Location: Ado Ekiti, Ekiti

Job Summary

Job Description
- Supervise farm workers to ensure efficient execution of tasks.
- Supervise soil preparation - ploughing, harrowing, ridging, plot maintenance, and harvesting
- Supervise both mechanical and manual planting of cassava and the application of fertilizers and agrochemicals
- Ensure good farm equipment maintenance, irrigation management, and fertigation.
- Develop and enforce crop rotation and soil enrichment plans to sustain soil fertility
- Conduct regular field inspections to assess soil conditions, crop performance, and pest or disease threats

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, Crop Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in cassava cultivation or a similar role.

- Good knowledge of cassava farming techniques, including pest and Disesase
- Proficiency in record-keeping and reporting.
- Ability to operate and maintain farm machinery and tools.
- Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with diverse teams.
- Passion for agriculture and sustainable farming practices

3.) Talent Acquisition Specialist
Job Location: Ado Ekiti, Ekiti

Job Description
Talent Sourcing and Recruitment:
- Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract skilled professionals for various roles, including farm workers, supervisors, agronomists, and administrative staff.
- Utilize job boards, social media platforms, and professional networks to source qualified candidates.
- Build a strong pipeline of candidates for current and future talent needs.
Screening and Interviewing:
- Review applications and resumes to identify the best candidates for each role.
- Conduct initial phone screenings to assess candidates’ skills, experience, and cultural fit.
- Coordinate and participate in interview panels with hiring managers.
Employer Branding:
- Promote Agbeyewa Farms as an employer of choice by showcasing our mission, culture, and career opportunities.
- Represent the company at career fairs, industry events, and community outreach programs.
Candidate Experience Management:
- Ensure a seamless and positive experience for candidates throughout the recruitment process.
- Maintain regular communication with candidates and provide timely updates on their application status.
Onboarding and Integration:
- Work closely with HR to facilitate smooth onboarding processes for new hires.
- Ensure new employees are set up for success by providing necessary resources and orientation.
Workforce Planning and Strategy:
- Collaborate with department heads to understand talent needs and develop workforce plans.
- Stay updated on industry trends and labor market dynamics to refine recruitment strategies.
Data and Reporting:
- Track recruitment metrics such as time-to-fill, cost-per-hire, and candidate satisfaction.
- Provide regular reports to management on recruitment activities and outcomes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Certifications in recruitment or talent acquisition (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) are an added advantage.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in recruitment or talent acquisition, preferably in agriculture or a related industry.
- Proven track record of successfully filling diverse roles, including technical and field positions
- Strong sourcing and networking skills to identify and engage top talent.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple recruitment projects simultaneously.
- Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and recruitment tools
- High level of initiative and ability to work independently.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
