We are recruiting to fill the following positions below:

1.) Lead, Backoffice Software

Job Location: Lagos

Job Purpose

• This role will be responsible for building and managing software tools. 
• The incumbent would manage a team of software developers, providing guidance and support to ensure that projects are completed on time and meet their requirements. 
• This individual will be required to work collaboratively with other departments such as Operations, Technology, and Finance to understand the needs of the business and create solutions that meet those needs.

Responsibilities

• Undertakes complete design of moderately complex software applications or components applying agreed standards, patterns and tools
• Assists as part of a team on design of components of larger software systems
• Specifies user/system interfaces
• Creates multiple design views to address the concerns of the various stakeholders of the design and to handle separately functional and nonfunctional requirements
• Applies agreed standards and tools, to achieve a well-engineered result

• 5+ years of experience in software development
• Strong leadership skills, with a proven track record of managing teams of software developers.
• Experience with project management methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, or Kanban.
• Experience with programming languages such as Java, Python, or C++.
• Experience with cloud-based technologies such as AWS or Azure.
• Experience with database technologies such as SQL, MongoDB etc.

2.) Data Engineer

Job Location: Lagos

Job Purpose

• To build reliable data integration solutions, clean, transform, and analyze vast amounts of big data from various systems using Spark and other ETL tools to provide ready-to-use dataset to data scientists and data analysts, while ensuring data quality and integrity. 
• Collaborate with stakeholders to design scalable and efficient data solutions that enable informed decision-making, and compliance with data governance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement efficient data ingestion pipelines to acquire and extract large volumes of structured and unstructured data. Ensure data integrity and quality during the ingestion process.
• Integrate various data sources and formats into a unified data ecosystem.
• Design and execute data processing workflows to clean, transform, and enrich raw data.

• Proficiency in working with various Big Data technologies is essential. This includes Apache Hadoop, Apache Spark, Apache Kafka, Apache Hive, Apache Pig, and other related frameworks. Understand the architecture, components, and ecosystem of these technologies to design and implement robust data processing pipelines.
• Expertise in data processing and Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) techniques.
• Must be skilled in designing and implementing efficient data pipelines to extract data from various sources, transform it into a suitable format, and load it into target systems or data warehouses. Proficiency in PySpark and experience with Microsoft Azure Databrick is required.
• Proficiency in implementing CI/CD practices for data pipelines, including version control, automated testing, and deployment processes, using tools like Git, Jenkins, or similar platforms to ensure smooth and reliable deployment of data pipelines, for faster development cycles, improved code quality, and efficient release management.
• Proficiency in python programming language and SQL, to manipulate and transform data, build data pipelines, and automate processes. Should understand data profiling, data cleansing, and data validation techniques to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of the data. Knowledge of data privacy and compliance regulations is also important.
• Deep understanding of distributed systems and parallel computing concepts.
• Should be familiar with concepts like data partitioning, parallel processing, fault tolerance, and cluster management.
• Should be familiar with different data storage technologies and NoSQL databases like Apache HBase, Apache Cassandra, MongoDB, or Amazon DynamoDB. Should understand the trade-offs between different storage options and select the appropriate one based on the use case and requirements.
• Should be able to design efficient data schemas that optimize data storage, retrieval, and processing. Should understand concepts such as entity relationship modeling, dimensional modeling, and schema evolution
• Should have experience in real-time data processing techniques. Be familiar with stream processing frameworks like Apache Flink, Apache Kafka Streams, or Apache Storm. 3.) Regional Business Head

Job Locations: Sokoto, Kano, Ondo, and Enugu

Job Purpose

• To drive sales strategy translation into a sales plan and detailed activities, with reference to Interswitch overall sales strategic direction, with the primary purpose of driving sales growth and achieving revenue targets for their assigned region.
• To drive adoption of sales operational policies, monitor overall strategy implementation against timeline and budgetary margins.
• To enhance service delivery and engagement with relevant stakeholders and periodic reports on progress and achieved milestones.
• To oversee the administration of the regional office and all ISW staff that operate from the regional offices.

Job Responsibilities

• Coordination of sales/BD and other operational requirements of the assigned regional cluster.
• This covers all existing and prospective customers and partners as well as regional office management.
• Develop and implement relationship management plans for complex existing customer and partner accounts to identify and build relationships with relevant decision makers and influencers within the customer organisation and to enable effective two-way flow of information and resolution of issues.
• Manage ongoing relationships with identified customer segments to ensure their needs are met, providing themes, summary analyses, and recommendations for changes based on customer input.
• Maintain sales tools and methods and deploy consistent communication channels with customers to enhance service delivery.
• Manage key aspects of the data management system. This includes being responsible for developing or operating key elements of the system.
• Contribute to the design and creation of reporting strategies and templates.
• Lead execution of complex reports, identifying and interpreting complex patterns and trends, and translating those insights into actionable recommendations.
• Have a matrixed reporting line responsibility for administration and management of all ISW staff that sit in the regional office.
• Develop a personal network within the business sector and represent Interswitch at business sector events.
• Configure a complex product and services solution and associated contractual terms that meet the customer's mid- to long-term needs, taking input from relevant internal specialists.
• Present the solution to customer representatives and negotiate agreement within a pre-defined range of commercial parameter.
• Obtain market intelligence and enhance the visibility and reputation of Interswitch, its products, and its services.
• Set and manage achievement of contributing individuals and regional targets.
• Contribute to the Sales plan by providing input regarding the implementation of initiatives.
• Develop internal marketing plans, work collaboratively with other departments to improve internal relationships and build strong external customer relationships.
• Use data from a wide range of sources to analyze key themes, and identify trends of customers’ interests, direction and sales as well as suggest changes to products and services accordingly.
• Oversee deployment of sales network integration, and handle communication and negotiation with business partners, service providers, and subsidiaries.
• Attend meetings with relevant stakeholders and acquire sales and risk management processes and share them with sales executives and execution team.
• The Regional Business Head must be able to not only formulate but also effectively execute strategic plans, in driving the region toward achieving its objectives.
• Their contribution to the formation of a key element of functional strategy through specialist expertise and insights is key to ensure that the regional strategy meets business needs.

Educational Qualification

• Candidates should possess a University Graduate Degree

Experience:

• At least 10 years of wide and deep experience in Sales and Business Development roles within reputable financial institutions or the payments industry, including a minimum of 5 years of customer-facing experience in the FinTech space.
• At least 5 years of experience of planning and managing resources to deliver predetermined objectives.
