About the Role
- We're seeking an exceptional leader to join our team as Chief Financial Officer (CFO), responsible for shaping our financial strategy, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving sustainable growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive financial strategies aligned with the bank's business objectives, ensuring long-term sustainability and growth.
- Oversee financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting, providing actionable insights to inform business decisions.
- Ensure strict compliance with Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) regulations, tax laws, and financial reporting standards, mitigating potential risks and reputational damage.
- Monitor and manage financial risks, capital adequacy, and liquidity, maintaining a robust risk management framework.
- Provide strategic financial guidance and support to the executive team, enabling informed decision-making.
- Lead and manage a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of accountability, excellence, and continuous improvement.
- Liaise with external auditors, regulatory bodies, and key stakeholders, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
- Leverage BankOne and other financial reporting tools to optimize financial management, reporting, and operational efficiency.
Requirements
- Professional certification in accounting (ICAN or ACCA) is mandatory.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in banking, financial services, or a related field, with a proven track record of success in financial management, strategy development, and leadership.
- Expertise in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and risk management, with a strong understanding of regulatory requirements and financial reporting standards.
- Proficiency in BankOne, financial reporting tools, and other relevant software is an advantage.
- Excellent leadership, analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate high-performing teams.
