Business Development Executive – Leadremit (Fintech)
Location: Nigeria (Lagos preferred) · Hybrid

Your Role: Business Development Specialist
We are seeking a high-performing Business Development Specialist to help us expand our merchant network, strategic partnerships, and market presence. Your primary responsibility will be to develop and scale Leadremit’s payment gateway by identifying growth opportunities, onboarding clients, and shaping our market strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute B2B business development strategies to acquire new merchants, PSPs, fintech, and online platforms.
- Identify and build relationships with key decision-makers in e-commerce, logistics, remittance, betting, travel, education, and other digital-first sectors.
- Promote Leadremit’s payment gateway features (cards, transfers, wallets, USSD, international payouts, etc.).
- Pitch, negotiate, and close deals with enterprise clients and strategic partners.
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to tailor payment solutions for client needs.
- Analyse market trends and competitor activity to refine go-to-market strategies.
- Develop and maintain a robust sales pipeline and CRM documentation
- Represent Leadremit at industry events, webinars, and networking opportunities.
- Collect client feedback and communicate product improvement needs to internal teams.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience in business development, partnerships, or sales in fintech, payments, or B2B SaaS.
- Proven experience with merchant acquisition, digital sales, or payment solution selling.
- Strong understanding of payment gateways, e-commerce platforms, and local payment infrastructure
- Excellent negotiation, relationship-building, and strategic selling skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Passion for the African fintech ecosystem and digital economy.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of subscription billing models, international settlements, or cross-border compliance.
- Familiarity with integration APIs, developer documentation, or technical sales is a plus.
- Network within Nigeria’s startup/fintech ecosystem
- Entrepreneurial mindset and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
