OEA Accounting Services - Our client is a growing hospitality and lifestyle business operating a restaurant, lounge and grill, event space rentals, and a pay-per-use swimming pool in Maitama district of Abuja.

They are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Position: Accountant

Job Location: Maitama, Abuja (FCT) 
Employment Type: Full-time

Role Overview

• We are building a structured, well-controlled business and are looking for an accountant who can grow with us.
• We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant who will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting management with timely financial reports, and ensuring strong financial controls across all business units.
• This role goes beyond basic bookkeeping and requires someone who understands business operations and can work with management to improve financial performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Record and reconcile daily sales across POS, cash, transfers, and bank accounts
• Maintain accurate books using accounting software (Zoho Books or similar)
• Track income and expenses by business unit (restaurant, lounge/bar, events, pool)
• Prepare monthly management accounts and basic financial reports
• Manage supplier payments and expense documentation
• Support VAT, WHT, PAYE, and other statutory filings
• Maintain inventory and cost records (especially food and beverage costs)
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting procedures

Requirements

• HND / BSc in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 2–4 years of accounting experience (hospitality or service industry is an advantage)
• Practical knowledge of accounting software
• Good understanding of basic Nigerian tax requirements
• Strong attention to detail and integrity
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
