Account Reconcilation Associate Job at the Plug

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Position: Account Reconcilation Associate
Job Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities

• Perform weekly and monthly reconciliation of bank statements, ledgers and subsidiary accounts
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies, variancesand unmatched transactions promptly
• Ensure all transactions are properly recorded in line with company policies and accounting standards
• Liaise with internal departments and external partners (banks, vendors) to resolve reconciliation issues
• Prepare reconciliation reports and submit findings to the Finance Manager
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities
• Maintain proper documentation and audit trails for all reconciliations
• Identify process gaps and recommend improvements to strengthen financial controls
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, regulatory requirementsand accounting policies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Financeor a related fields
• 2–4 years of experience in accounting, finance or reconciliation roles
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial controls
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
• High attention to detail and strong analytical skills
• Ability to work with deadlines and handle multiple accounts simultaneously
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
